“I turn off the water after I wet my toothbrush, while brushing my teeth.” – Shawn from Illinois

“We collect rain water from the gutters into rain barrels to water plants.” – Tim from New York

“I rinse out and fill a 2-liter soda bottle to about two inches from the top and keep it in my freezer.  When I need ice for a cooler I use the 2-liter bottle of ice instead of buying bags of ice. It stays cold longer than the ice cubes, it doesn’t soak everything in the cooler as it melts, and as a bonus, we have ice water to drink all day as it melts!  (On really hot days, or when something needs to be extra cold I use two bottles!)” – Jim from California

I don’t run the dishwasher until it’s full.” – Jane from Pennsylvania

“We don’t rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher” – Brett from Connecticut
